BBQ Egg Rolls - 2 pieces review by Cambria

These were SO GOOD! I didn't expect them to be the size they were, and I was so full even having these as the "main dish". The brisket was my favorite, super flavorful and juicy and also had Ted onions in it.

Peach Bourbon Baked Beans review by Jonathan

There are restaurants that serve food, and then there are places that transport you. Old Blue BBQ belongs firmly in the latter category. From the first bite, it was clear that this isn't simply barbecue. It's a love letter to Texas hospitality, smoke, flavor, and tradition. What surprised me most was that, as a vegetarian, I found myself in absolute heaven. The peach beans are a revelation, layered, complex, and bursting with flavor. They could easily stand on their own as a signature dish. The mac & cheese is among the finest I've tasted anywhere, rich, indulgent, and perfectly executed. The cornbread strikes that elusive balance between texture and sweetness, while the Texas Caviar is remarkably fresh, bright, and vibrant. Every side feels thoughtfully crafted rather than treated as an afterthought. Then there are the sauces. House-made, nuanced, and deeply memorable, they elevate everything they touch. You find yourself thinking about them long after the meal is over. And the French fries? Quite simply the best I have had in the DMV. Perfectly crisp, beautifully seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. What Old Blue BBQ achieves is rare. It captures the soul of a great Texas barbecue institution while maintaining the warmth and authenticity that so many restaurants aspire to but few attain. For a few hours, I forgot where I was and felt transported straight to the Hill Country of Texas. In a food landscape crowded with concepts and trends, Old Blue BBQ delivers something far more valuable: authenticity. That is what makes it exceptional.

Sliced Brisket Sandwich review by Temple

I have tried every BBQ spot in the DMV at this point and Old Blue is a step above. Quality over quantity is proven by the small but mighty menu. Run, don't walk!

Pulled pork was moist and smokey with plenty of sauce to add as desired. Comes with slaw and pickles. Delicious!

Smoked Artichoke Dip review by Rachel

Old Blue BBQ catered our wedding this past weekend and the food was excellent and the staff was amazing. They set up everything beautifully and on time and even put out cookies I had made for a cookie table. We cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. We are so glad we chose Old Blue as our caterer.
